What types of services does Structural Fitness provide?
Structural Fitness offers various
health and fitness services including personal training,
metabolic testing,
fitness testing, and
boot camp style workouts.
Isn't personal training only for rich Hollywood movie stars?
Not at all. More and
more people are turning to personal trainers to help them with their fitness
goals, whether they are looking to lose weight, improve a sports skill, recover from an injury or
medical condition, or simply want to improve their quality of life. Structural Fitness offers a variety of training
solutions including one-on-one training, small group training, and weekly boot
camp style group classes with workouts as low as $20 a session. So even if you
are on a strict budget you can still take advantage working with a personal
trainer.
Do I need to purchase any fitness equipment?
No, we will bring all the equipment
needed for a safe, effective workout. However, if you already have
equipment, or are looking to buy some, we'll be glad to show you how to use it.
If you are looking to purchase some home equipment and are unsure about what to
buy, we can help guide you through that as well.
Do I need to have a whole room available?
No, clearing a portion of a room,
garage, patio, or even the backyard is sufficient. You may also choose to
workout at a local park, or other public location.
Do I have to workout by myself or can I train with a friend or family member?
Some people enjoy
individual attention of one on one personal training, but there are others who
equally enjoy working out in
small groups. We offer packages and sessions for both. Keep in mind that if you choose to train with a
partner or a small group, we recommend that the other person(s) have similar
goals, and possess a similar fitness level.
I have several underlying medical conditions. Will I still be able to
workout?
Yes, depending on your condition
and a possible clearance from your physician. As with all of our clients,
you will receive a custom workout based on your conditions and specific goals. You will also find that, for most medical conditions, your physician will
recommend some type of exercise.
I play multiple sports. Is there any kind of training you can show me at
my home to improve my sports skills?
Yes, most sport-specific training
does not require the use of large expensive machines. A majority of
sport-specific training can be accomplished using medicine balls, stability
balls, plyometric drills, etc.
I exercise on a regular basis but can't seem to figure out how to eat right.
Can you help me?
Yes, nutrition is more than half
the battle in maintaining any healthy lifestyle. We offer
Metabolic Testing that will measure your
metabolism (RMR) and provide insight into your nutritional needs so that you
don't have to guess when it comes to managing your weight. All of our clients
also receive online access to complete food journals so that their trainer can
offer nutritional guidance and help fine tune the client's nutritional intake.
I don't want a trainer all the time, can you give me a workout to do on my own?
Yes, while most people benefit from
the discipline, accountability, and motivation working with a personal trainer
provides, it is not for everybody. If you have a gym membership,
or own some fitness equipment already, we will provide you with a custom workout
program, and even remind you when its time to update your routine to keep your
progress from plateauing.
