Why should I complete a Fitness Assessment?
There are many benefits to completing a Fitness Assessment,
some of the more important ones include: defines your
strengths and areas that need improvement, aids you or your
trainer in creating the most effective exercise program
based on your Fitness Profile, aids in goal
setting, tracks progress over multiple assessments, and you
get a printout of your unique Fitness Profile
along with a detailed report of your body composition.
How often should I complete a Fitness Assessment?
While the frequency in which
you complete a Fitness Assessment is completely up to you,
we recommend that you complete a Fitness Assessment every
2-3 months to assess your progress and determine if your
workout routine is effective and is helping you accomplish
your goals. This will allow you or your trainer to make
adjustments to your program as needed.
How long does the Fitness Assessment take?
The Fitness Assessment takes
about 45 minutes to an hour to complete.
Do I need to be in good shape to complete the assessment?
No. The Fitness Assessment is
designed for people of all fitness levels. We encourage
people who are new to working out to complete a "starting"
Fitness Assessment. Completing a Fitness Assessment early on
will provide a baseline profile of your fitness level and
will help in creating a safe, effective, and efficient
workout program. Plus, if you complete another Fitness
Assessment down the road, you can see how much progress you
have made since you started.
Do I have to complete every portion of the assessment?
No. You may complete as much or as little of the Fitness
Assessment as you choose. Each test is optional, so may
choose which ones you are interested in completing. For a
complete profile of your fitness level we do recommend that
you complete as many of the tests as possible.
I'm really only interested in losing weight, how will
getting my Fitness Profile help me?
It's no secret the role a proper exercise program plays in
aiding weight loss and in helping keep the weight off. Upon
completing the Fitness Assessment, you will be provided with
a detailed printout of your fitness level (Fitness
Profile). This will allow you or your trainer to create
the most effective program based on your Fitness Profile.
Also, body composition (body fat) assessment is
included in the Fitness Assessment, and upon completion you
will be provided a detailed printout of your body
composition.
